It’s important to consider that you may have subconscious issues and barriers that are preventing you from moving forward and achieving the success you desire.

Many people when decide to start an online business, are eager to get moving and achieve the success they like and desire. Some of them go full ahead and immediately start seeing results, while others seem to keep running into snags and obstacles no matter how hard they try to get ahead. It’s important to consider that you may have subconscious issues and barriers that are preventing you from moving forward and achieving the success you desire.

If you’ve been struggling to make a success of your online business and feel like you’ve got invisible walls and barriers holding you back, ask yourself these five questions:

1) Are you afraid of success?

Most of us THINK we want to be successful, but deep down inside we fear it. Why would anyone fear success? Because being “successful” often comes with a lot of baggage and troubles. We aren’t necessarily afraid of the success itself, but what comes along with it. We might find ourselves in the spotlight and have more attention and admiration thrown our way. That sounds like a good thing, but it can be unnerving if we’re not prepared to deal with it. We might also find ourselves with increased responsibility. Can we handle the pressure and do what is required of us? Can we properly support a large team and customer base? What if we don’t have what it takes?

The best remedy for these fearful thoughts is to keep affirming your own ability to handle whatever comes your way. Take some time to study the aspects of business you fear, such as building long-term customer relationships and leadership techniques. Knowledge is power, and as you learn and grow, your confidence will also.

2) Are you afraid of rejection or ridicule?

This is a big issue for some of us. If we have a big enough fear of rejection, we will avoid seeking new customers, clients and recruits. A wonderful technique to overcome this fear is to practice releasing your expectation of the outcome. When you approach a potential customer or recruit, make it your mission to put the information in front of them, and not get hung up on whether they will buy or sign on.

It can be helpful to set “action goals” versus “results goals” also. For example, instead of making it your goal to gain five new customers each week, make it your goal to APPROACH twenty potential customers each week. Don’t worry about how many will join you, just focus on perfecting your presentation and being helpful, professional and available. If you have a good product and a positive attitude, people will be attracted to you and want what you have to offer. Your job is simply to make it available and easy for people to understand your offer.

3) Do you have negative emotions about money?

While we dream of having a large, successful business that pays well, many of us also have negative thoughts about people who have a lot of money. We fear becoming one of “them” — snobby, rude rich people. We might also feel guilty about having a lot of money when so many people in the world have nothing. If you have negative issues attached to money, you will resist the manifestation of it in your life.

Your mind and heart will be at war and not allow you to create the wealth you truly want and deserve. The thing to understand about money is that it’s simply the physical representation of abundance in your life. Money itself is not good or bad. It’s what you do with the money that gives it positive or negative feelings.

Just because you begin earning a lot of money doesn’t mean you will turn into a snob. You can choose your attitude and remain just as kind and compassionate as you are today. And by having plenty of financial resources at your disposal, think of all the people you could help. Rather than feeling guilty about having a comfortable life, you can reach out and share your wealth with others. Simply you can help the poor people worldwide!!

4) Do you lack confidence?

Lack of confidence in yourself, the company you represent, or the products you are selling can hold you back also. Confidence, like anything else, is a learned skill that grows stronger with practice. If you are new to your online business, you might shy away from approaching potential customers and recruits because you aren’t comfortable with the procedures yet, or feel you don’t know enough. You might be afraid that people will ask a question you can’t answer.

Remember the first few times you drove a car? You were nervous and cautious, weren’t you? Are you more confident driving now? I bet you are, because you’ve done it thousands of times. You can also become comfortable with the aspects of your online business that frighten you, by simply practicing until you feel more comfortable with them.

Devote some time to memorizing your prospecting script, the benefits of your products, and your approach. Write it all down and read it aloud over and over again until you’ve memorized it and feel more comfortable with it. Your confidence and enthusiasm will then shine through and attract success.

5) Are you afraid of failure?

Some of us never even get started because we’re so afraid we might fail. We’re afraid to even try to make our dreams a reality. It seems safer to stay in our unhappy circumstances, because even though we aren’t satisfied, at least they are familiar and comfortable. The unknown is scary. But if we don’t try, we’ll miss out on the chance to make our lives better. You need to actually get in the game and start playing! The only true failures in life occur when you give up or don’t try at all.

No matter what fears hold you back, know that you have the power to overcome the barriers and achieve every success you desire. Simply begin changing your negative thoughts to positive ones, and take steps to make your dream a reality. When you come up against something that frightens you or makes you uncomfortable, know that you’ve just encountered an invisible barrier to your success. Never give up and never quit. It’s the only way to succeed online!!

10 Tips on How To Overcome Your Fear Of Selling

http://www.bestprofitsonline.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/social_media_1471964234.jpg
Even though we all know we need to “sell” our products and services, many feel fearful or anxious about actually doing so….

Selling. Sometimes, this is a word that is dreaded and feared by many business owners. It seems that, even though we all know we need to “sell” our products and services, many feel fearful or anxious about actually doing so.
These 10 tips are designed to help you shift out of your fear, and into excitement, about sharing your product or service.

1) Know the source of your fear

This tip reminds us that it is necessary, first, to know what we’re afraid of. Most often, fears of selling come in several forms. Either we worry about not being liked, or being perceived as pushy, we (secretly) worry that our product or service might not perform as we say, or we struggle with the idea of rejection. Knowing the source of your fear (sometimes it can be a combination) is an important part of overcoming your fear of selling.

2) Take action to address the source

In this way, you are taking action to overcome your fear. In some cases, this might mean that you improve your product or service (you can use customer feedback for this), or you can find ways to share your product/service in a way that feels more authentic and natural to you. You can also find ways to “bounce back” after rejection which is easier to do, by the way, if you don’t take “no” personally.

3) Find enthusiasm for what you offer

One of the best techniques I’ve ever used to overcome my fear of selling has been to tap into my passion and enthusiasm for what I’m offering. I make a list of all the really wonderful benefits and successful outcomes of past customers. I hang this list nearby where I can see it everyday. Try this for yourself – your confidence will skyrocket.

4) Shift your perspective

How would it feel to think of yourself as “sharing information” about what you do? Or “showing benefits” or “sharing your passion?” If you feel uncomfortable or anxious about “selling”- find a way to shift your perspective to one of sharing information rather than “convincing someone to buy.”

5) Start small

Very often, people tend to tackle projects much larger than they can comfortably handle. When you want to overcome your fear of selling, start small. Maybe you will share your new business with a few trusted friends first and then gradually find ways to expand your sharing to include a larger circle. The most successful business people are those who interact with others in an authentic, passionate way so find a way that feels comfortable with you and stay with it.

6) Keep track of your successes

Keep a “wins” or success journal nearby and record your achievements in it each day. This will help you stay aware of just how much you do right. We sometimes forget this.

7) Have fun with it.

Rather than approaching this from a heavy “have to”, “doesn’t feel good” perspective find a fun, interesting way to share your knowledge or passion. Some marketers have thrown parties, offered free giveaways, donated products/services to charities – all of these were easy, fun, and income generating. What would be fun for you?

8) Stay focused on your desired outcome

Most people take actions and reach their goals because they stay focused on the benefits of doing so. Sometimes, reminding yourself what you want, why you’re doing this can help you take the next action and the next.

9) Detach from how the outcome shows up

Very often, we get really attached to “making the sale” or having a situation turn out a certain way. Instead, why not focus on efforts “I will give a great, enthusiastic, and passionate presentation” rather than outcome: “They will buy X number of this.” Very often, if you stay focused on the effort – doing a great job- the outcome turns out better than you ever imagined.

10) Keep practicing

Like any other business skill, “selling” gets easier the more you do it. So get out there, start small, and keep practicing.

Five Stumbling Blocks To Overcome For A Successful Networking

Five Stumbling Blocks To Overcome For A Successful Networking

The ability to connect with people is essential to success in any business. Professional networking events present opportunities to interact with others on a personal level and to develop profitable relationships. These occasions are critical for anyone who wants to grow a business or promote a career.

Many people are simply not comfortable walking into a room full of strangers and striking up conversations. Here are five common stumbling blocks that you may face and tips to help you overcome them.

A RELUCTANCE TO TALK TO STRANGERS. You were taught at an early age not to speak to people you don’t know. It’s not safe. In certain situations today this is still good advice. In business, however, talking to strangers is a way to generate interest and support for your products and services. If you only talk to the people you already know, you will miss out on opportunities to make new connections and establish valuable contacts.

To get past your discomfort in talking to strangers, set a goal for yourself before you attend any networking event. Decide how many new contacts you want to make or how many strangers you want to meet. In some cases, you may specifically target individuals whom you’d like to know.

Next come up with some icebreakers or conversation starters. Have questions prepared that you can ask anyone you meet at the event. You may want to inquire about other people’s business, their connection to the sponsoring organization or their opinion of the venue.

LACK OF A FORMAL INTRODUCTION. It’s much easier to make a new contact when there is someone else to handle the introduction and pave the way. If you wait for another person to make the move you may not meet anyone. At networking events, the goal is to meet as many people as possible.

This is the time to take the bull by the horns, walk up to people you don’t know, introduce yourself and start a conversation. You can do this if you have prepared your self-introduction in advance.

You will not introduce yourself the same way on every occasion. Perhaps it is your first time to attend an association meeting. In that case, you might want to say that as part of your introduction. Let people know who you are, why you are there and give them a reason to ask more abut you.

FEAR OF BEING SEEN AS PUSHY. You may think that you will turn people off if you are assertive and that if they want to talk to you, they will make the first move. If this is your line of thinking you will find yourself spending your time alone at the reception or meeting function and leaving without a single new connection. Being open, friendly and interested does not turn people off.

You will not come across as overly aggressive if you seek out the “approachable” people. These are the ones who are standing alone or who are speaking in groups of three or more. Two people talking to each other are not approachable because they may be having a private conversation and you would be interrupting.

THINKING THAT OTHER PEOPLE MAY NOT LIKE YOU. There is always the risk that the other person is not interested in you and doesn’t want to meet or talk to you. It happens. If that is the case, don’t take it personally. Nothing ventured is nothing gained. When you get a cold shoulder, smile, move on and say to yourself, “Next?”

HAVING YOUR INTENTIONS MISUNDERSTOOD. Approaching someone of the opposite sex to begin a conversation may seem more like flirting than networking. This is more of an issue for women than men. Women have an equal place in the work arena and need to make professional connections the same as men do. Women in business can no longer afford to hold back when there is opportunity at hand.

Neither men nor women will have their motives misinterpreted if they present themselves professionally in their attire and if they keep the conversation focused on business issues or topics that are not personal or private.

Whatever your stumbling blocks, face them before the next networking event and devise a personal plan for getting past them. Once you do, you will find yourself connecting with confidence and courtesy on every occasion and the results will be reflected in your bottom line.
