Social media has sent a shock wave across the internet, which has totally revolutionized the way that people network and share content with others.

Now there are many different social media sites that have swept the web in recent years. The big five are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Facebook has billions of users. Also, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter have many users. YouTube has become a vast library of content searched through by millions on a daily basis. Don’t forget Google now owns the Youtube.

Social media has taken over the online world unlike anything before it, and it’s time for you to ride the wave to help you achieve your online success.

The beauty of social media is that it is FREE. Free to join, free to start adding content, and free to start networking with other people in the industry, and that means one very important thing: The potential for getting FREE leads into your business, every single day.

The social media gives you the perfect opportunity to do two very important things:

So, How Do You Do This?

Start networking! If you have a website of sorts that you are trying to drive people to, a place where you can provide content and promote yourself as a leader, and therefore become a lot more attractive to people. If you don’t you are missing out on A LOT of potential income in your business.

If you are on Twitter, start following people! Follow people that are interested in the niche that you are marketing to. A great way to do this is to find the leaders in your market and look at the people that are following them, and just start following.

As a rule of thumb, around 30-35% of the people that you follow will follow you back. This means that you can start generating a follower base. This is the time to start providing content to your followers and show them that you can provide value and that they should see you as a leader.

If you can engage your followers and provide good content, they will go to your lead capture pages already pre-sold as they will already know, like and trust you as someone who has been providing them with high-quality content.

Tip: Every Seven days or so, go through the people that you are following that haven’t followed you back and unfollow them, this will allow you to continue to grow your network.

The same rules apply to Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. Start adding friends and providing content, so that these people will see you as a valuable and interesting resource that they want to keep.

A Word Of Warning…

While it is obviously great that you are going to be providing your own content from your website or blog to your followers on Twitter or your friends on Facebook, it is important that you are also doing two things.

Providing content from other websites and blogs

Actually networking with other people.

By providing content from other people’s blogs and keeping people updated on things that are going on in the industry, it makes you seem less ‘self-interested’ and it makes you seem as though you have a genuine interest in their success and want to provide them value.

This means that when you do post your own content, people are more likely to click through and get themselves on to your blog. This is self-promotion and this is something that you only earn the right to do once you have proven to your followers or friends that you are providing them real value.

Networking with people is also incredibly important. By actually engaging in conversation with others, you suddenly become ‘real’ as a person, again making yourself more credible to others.

Social Media allows you to brand yourself. Branding yourself is VITAL in this industry if you are looking to make a lifelong income and building a profitable business.

By using social media to market yourself, you will find that you will be able to start generating leads, every single day, totally FREE, as long as you are consistently providing value, people are going to be a lot more likely to take you up on your offer and go through your lead capture pages to grab whatever you are providing to them.
