Blog Marketing: 12 Tips and A Marketing Strategy for Beginners

Here’s a list of blogging tips for beginners. Every blogger should have a list of ideas and things to do.

1. Start by writing something EVERY single day. The more you write, the better you’ll be. The better you get, the more interesting your content will become.

2. Write about what you already know. Don’t try to reinvent yourself on your blog. Write what you know, what you already have an interest in, and to those people who are already your friends.

3. Don’t try to impress anyone with your first blog post. Just write it. Get started. If you don’t ever start, you’ll never get anywhere, so start. Write the first post.

4. Share it. I know it probably isn’t the most impressive thing on the internet, nobody cares. Share it. Tell your friends. Tell your family, and convince them to at least go read it. Leave a message and the comment on their message.

5. If someone asked you a question about the responses, WRITE another blog post to answer their question. Expand on the answer a little bit, and link to another website, so they can find more information by clicking the link.

6. Always invite people to comment on what you write on your blog. You want comments. You need interaction. Ask for it.

7. Visit other people’s blogs similar to yours, and invite them to visit you. Don’t place links in the comment, put the link in the space provided. Be sure your link is correct (copy and paste it if you have to).

8. As you add more blog posts, concentrate on finding the common topic of your blog. What is it you write about most? That’s your passion. Keep writing.

9. Keep visiting other people’s blogs and sending them back to your blog.

10. Keep sharing your blog with others on social media, with friends. Share it everywhere.

11. Promote other blogs you find interesting. Invite other bloggers to share your content on their blog. Guest posting and interactive sharing bring more readers.

12. Find products and books you can review that are relevant to your topic. Write about them, review them, and link to them.

A Successful Blog Marketing Strategy For Beginners

Developing a blog marketing strategy for beginner bloggers can be as complex or as basic as the blogger would like it to be. Nobody will tell you that you need to find the right keywords in order to make a successful blog. In fact, finding the correct niche can be a marketing strategy within itself.

Determining your Niche market and establishing keywords that will perform for you within that niche market. From that, you will be able to determine how aggressive your marketing will need to be.

Heavily populated niche markets, such as Making Money Online or almost anything financially related are going to be very difficult markets to crack. And for beginner bloggers, I would not recommend they start with such topics. And especially if they intend on trying their hand at the free blogging platforms.

There are several tools available to bloggers to help determine niches. Google’s AdWord Keyword tool is one of them. Using Google’s tool, you can determine how often a specific keyword is searching and with that, you can determine if your keyword choices are the best options for your blog.

Once you have determined your niche, you should establish a few primary keywords for your blog. Some of these should show up within your URL, and they should appear in your blog Title and description.

Along with that, they should be words that are occasionally repeated in your blog posts. This too is a step in your blog marketing strategy. Keywords and Keyword density is a fundamental stepping stone for search engines.

They use these keywords to establish content relevancy to a specific market. It would serve you no real good if your blog shows up in unrelated search engine results pages. Keywords are the primary way for search engines to control this.

Once you have established a niche and your primary keywords, It is important to write posts daily. Consistently adding content alters your Blog’s RSS feed, so, submitting your blog to feed directories give you the opportunity to be indexed every time you add new content to your blog. This increases your visibility.

Now that you have been adding content and you have set up your RSS feed to feed directories. It is important to start to find other bloggers within your niche market, blogging in many ways is a community and reading and commenting on others blogs within your market will help generate readership and blog awareness.

Backlinks and backlink building is very important when establishing a blog marketing strategy. In fact, many people will tell you backlinks are more important than the content itself, and in many ways it is, but how do you generate backlinks?

Well, there are many opportunities on the web to generate your own backlinks. Through account profile pages, through article commenting, through article writing, and social bookmarking, just to name a few.

Another very useful tip is guest blogging on others blogs. This increases your visibility to new viewers, it establishes new and strong backlinks and it creates a business connection with other bloggers within your market.

It is not always easy to find other bloggers who are looking for guest bloggers, but it never hurts to ask.

So, here is a blog marketing strategy for beginners.

1.) Establish a Niche
2.) Establish primary keywords for your Niche
3.) Constant blog posts
4.) Submit your feeds to feed directories
5.) Commenting on others blogs within your niche market
6.) Spending time every day developing backlinks
7.) Generate new readership through guest blogging

There are many more opportunities and options for creating a blog marketing strategy, but these tips are an excellent place to start. Act now and never give up!
