#1. TAKE ACTION TODAY
This is by far the most important part. There are people who spend thousands of dollars purchasing all kinds of CDs, DVDs or subscription products. They get excited by spending $10 hoping to get their 1000% ROI within the same day.
They cannot see this happen, turn around and purchase yet another “magic pill”. It looks as if they valued the dream more than the final result as they always start from the beginning and never keep going. It doesn’t mean the programs they buy are crap. Some of them are but many work very well and provide a lot of useful knowledge.
But the thing is, they won’t generate you solid income instantly or without you moving a finger. You need to put in the time to reap the rewards. Be strict with yourself and try to set aside at least an hour a day to work on your online business. Draft your plan of action and break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable ones.
Even on very busy days, try to take a little step forward, but take one. Put in 10-20 minutes if that’s all you’ve got. It will help you develop the habit of making sure you find some time to work on your online project.
Don’t expect results without putting the time, effort and being persistent. It’s real business not a hobby. You must work if you want to succeed!! So Simple!!
#2. FOCUS
Don’t spread yourself too thin. You cannot do everything at once. It’s impossible, definitely isn’t smart and makes no sense.
Choose your area of focus and keep digging, reading, learning and mastering your skills. Get very good at 1 thing before you move onto another. It will bring you tremendous results very quickly. If there are some parts of your online business you cannot fully understand, don’t be afraid to seek help.
Check YouTube, Google your questions or ask your colleagues. You will be surprised how many people touched on these same topics before you did. The resources are out there. You just need to go and get them. Remember. You get paid for being a specialist, not a mediocre generalist.
#3. DON’T TRY TO REINVENT THE WHEEL
Many beginner marketers dream of being the pioneers without much knowledge and experience. Don’t get me wrong, innovation is great and I always fully support new ideas.
But don’t you think it would be so much easier to learn based on systems that have already been tested and proven to work. Systems based on which someone is actually making solid income?
This approach will help you monetize your online business much quicker and in turn, together with newly acquired knowledge and experience, it will put you in a much better position to innovate in the future.
#4. ESTABLISH YOURSELF AS AN AUTHORITY
No matter what business you are in, people won’t buy from you unless they know your are an expert in a particular area. You need to build your authority.
There are thousands of people who know more in any particular area but it doesn’t mean you cannot have your own angle and share your unique views, techniques or approaches to solve different problems.
Put things in a fresh light, dig into case studies and share your own real life examples. Your audience will love it and appreciate it. Stay humble but do speak out and start sharing quality content.
Engage your followers and they will naturally look up to you as their authority figure they can trust and feel comfortable buying from.
